Kent's back!! It's so good to have our little family back together. Kent and Bob had an amazing trip and now I'm even more jealous after seeing the pictures and video they took! It's hard to believe the trip Kent's been dreaming about for so long has come and gone, but now we know it's safe again and we can hopefully go back together several times. It's great to finally put faces to the names that I hear about and have grown to love. I can't wait to meet them all. There are tons of pictures so here are just a few of my favorites..
Kent knows how much I love the children, so he took tons of pictures of them! The little girls especially get to me with their gorgeous hair. I'm going to have to find someone to teach me to do that someday.
Our "sisters" Rita and Nadia. Kent met them when he was serving in the north, but when the war broke out everyone evacuated and fled to Abidjan. Rita and Nadia now work and go to school in Abidjan. Mama lives 5 hrs away in Sassandra.
African women amaze me..
This takes me back to Ghana with all the kids posing for the camera. It puts a big smile on my face.
Mama. The first thing she said to Kent was "Where is my granddaughter??" Sorry Madi, I don't think we'll take you to Ivory Coast till you're much older.

I'm happy to see the bubbles were a success!
Bob this makes me think you should have a kid!
We have a picture in our front room by liz lemmon swindle of Christ holding a little african boy and I think she says it best..
"..When I thought of those children struggling to survive and the millions of others across Africa in similar circumstances I felt an overwhelming hopelessness and said to myself "no amount of money can fix this." Later that day while we were filming, Kennedy jumped into the arms of the man portraying the Savior. As I stood watching them, Kennedy turned towards me and our eyes met. At that moment I knew it wasn't hopeless. I realized that the Savior can fix not only the problems of Africa, but of the whole world..and we can be His hands to do it.."
That gives me a little comfort when I start wishing I could do so much more to help our "family" that lives a half a world away from us!
