Cote D'Ivoire

Our most anticipated trip has come and gone! It was amazing and we had such a good time. I miss it already, but it's good to be back home with our Madi and all of our many amenities. Its such a great reminder of how blessed we are to live in a country with so many opportunities.
We barely made it on the actual trip. We picked up our visas ON THE WAY to the airport, and thankfully they were there and we still had time to make our flight. There was absolutely no room for error!

We saw so many great friends. Its going to be hard to have them so far away. We got stuck in Morocco for a day because we missed our flight-since our flight from London was late..long story. So unfortunately it shortened our time in Ivory Coast by a day. We got there at 2 in the morning and had a great welcome *i'm being sarcastic* when we got stopped at a police road block and had to pay to get through it since we're Americans and 'supposedly' have money. This happened several times throughout the week.

From Abidjan, we went to a city called Sassandra, where a family lives that has become like our own. We had a blast going to the market, the beach and learning how to cook some yummy african dishes. I can't wait to go back and visit them again!

We took 3 suitcases full of clothes, flip flops, bubbles, ties, candy and other goods that our ward and family gathered for people there. It was all very very much appreciated and it went to some great families. THANK YOU to everyone that donated!!

Anyone up for another trip??? It's a life changer...
